It’s early morning and I’m writing these words while sitting in the attic of a charming, 200-year-old Saxon house in Viscri, the Transylvanian village King Charles probably loves the most.
I’m writing this newsletter to make an announcement. Here’s the proudest moment of my career so far. No exaggeration.
The Sovereign Artist. Meditations on Lifestyle Design. Kindle & Paperback & Hardcover. My book is live on Amazon 🎉

This project is not critical in terms of financial considerations; this is for the soul. I’ve been working on this book for 5-7 years in total—at a leisurely pace and only when I felt inspired. In business, I rely on discipline. But in art, I rely on inspiration.
I’m very happy with my pseudo-business pursuits; they provide great dividends. I can’t complain. My (minimalist) branding agency is doing great. My clients are satisfied. And all of my other projects are indeed profitable. But something was missing. I needed something different to work on. Something that makes me forget to eat, drink, and sleep. Something that makes my fiancée suspect I require psychological investigation.
If you want to destroy any (purely) artistic project, turn it into a business. Dream about profit. Fame. Or living like Hank Moody from Californication. There’s a reason I decided to do something a little bit unorthodox with this book—you can’t see my name on the front cover. Many will think it’s a (huge?) marketing mistake. But they miss the point.
I never asked you for anything. This is the first time I dare to do that. I’m not certain this is a good idea. But I’ll take the risk: please buy my book. It would mean the world to me. I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback about it. Send me a message on Instagram or Twitter as soon as you have an opinion about it.
UPDATE: The book turned into #1 Best-Seller in 2 different categories on Amazon. Thank YOU!
